Personalized care for couples navigating conflict, disconnection, and life transitions.

Every relationship has seasons. Therapy helps you navigate them.

Whether you are building something new, rebuilding something strained, or simply ready to invest in what you already have – support is here.
My approach is collaborative, direct, and respectful. I am empathic, insightful, and compassionate – bringing clinical skill, genuine care, and humor when the moment is right. Skilled in both the science and the art of therapy – because the research matters, and so does the relationship. Every session is tailored to you both.

You do not have to do this alone.

"The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives."

– Esther Perel, couples therapist and author

How I can help

As a couples therapist, I help partners engage with each other in a way that leads to better communication and a greater ability to express needs – and truly understand the needs of the other person. I take into account each partner’s attachment style and the way they relate to others. Together, we identify the patterns that have left you feeling stuck or hurt – and start changing them.
I work with all kinds of couples – premarital, married, and long-term partners. No matter where you are in your relationship, there is a path forward.

What to expect from working with me

Many people wonder what kind of therapist they are walking into. My style is a blend of two approaches – and I
adjust depending on what you and your partner need most.

Active & engaged

I will gently redirect a conversation that is going in circles, offer direct feedback when helpful, and occasionally suggest things to practice between sessions – especially useful for high-conflict couples.

Reflective & exploratory

I also create space to slow down and understand the deeper patterns – not just how to stop fighting, but why you keep ending up in the same place. Lasting change comes from insight, not just technique.

The balance shifts depending on what you need in any given moment. My job is to read the room – and adjust.

Couples Counseling Can Help You

Gottman method relationship therapy - Level 1 certified

The Gottman Method is an extensively researched approach to couples therapy. It focuses on three key areas that research shows are the foundation of a healthy, lasting relationship.

1

Friendship

Strong couples are best friends first. We deepen your knowledge of each other, build fondness, and learn to turn toward each other instead of away.

2

Managing conflict

Conflict is normal - it is how you handle it that matters. We learn to soften difficult conversations, repair after arguments, and avoid patterns that damage trust.

3

Shared meaning

Lasting couples build a life with shared values, rituals, and dreams. We explore what matters most to both of you and how to honor that together.

How I work with you

I integrate several evidence-based therapy approaches - including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, EFT, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing - tailored to you and your goals.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Helps shift patterns in thinking and behavior contributing to conflict or disconnection toward more balanced, supportive ways of responding.

Shifts focus from what is not working to identify new solutions or options – identifying strengths and building on what is already working in your relationship.

Research-based tools for building friendship, managing conflict, and creating shared meaning – the three pillars of a lasting relationship.

Deepens emotional connection, creates secure attachment and helps shift negative cycles toward greater openness, safety, and trust between partners.

Helps both partners become more aware of what is happening within themselves and between each other – building resilience and calm.

Explores what may be keeping you stuck and strengthens your shared motivation to move forward together.
